How do you ship a car bought at Copart or IAA auction?
If you purchased your vehicle through an auction house like Copart or IAA, the pickup process requires extra coordination. Auctions are high-security facilities that do not release vehicles to just any driver. To ensure a smooth handoff, you must provide us with the specific lot number, the gate pin, and your buyer number. Additionally, the auction facility must have proof that the vehicle is fully paid for before they will release it to our carrier.
Keep in mind that these requirements often add one to three days to your timeline compared to a standard residential pickup. Carriers must schedule an appointment through the auction site’s portal, and these facilities often have rigid operating hours that can conflict with a driver's transit schedule. Having your paperwork ready before you book helps us secure a carrier who is familiar with auction protocols and equipped to handle the extra steps.
